 PORTRAITS OF LANDSCAPES

Pearces Creek Hall

invitation

Portraits of Landscapes celebrates the landscape through paint and attempts to describe the face of the land. The paintings above represent a likeness, personality, and mood of environments around the Northern Rivers. Each image portrays different locations around the north coast of NSW and other areas I have experienced over the last year; including westward journeys to Bathurst and Orange; ‘That Time We Drove Home’, ‘It was Ballina’, and to Girraween; ‘Wattles for Him’. Process’ of sketches, writings, plein air paintings, and memories, developed the paintings. Different elements of nature have influenced my decisions including; time of day, weather, seasons, and my state of being.
